He obviously hasn't resigned (yet) as he has just given his post-match interview stating how Oxford "managed the game better than us."

A lot of hype on social media though, about how Adams stood in the dug-out for 10 minutes by himself at FT with some suggesting he sarcastically applauded/waved at the Green Army - did anybody who was actually at the game witness this?

Surely his position is untenable if he's (allegedly) alienating the fan base and if it isn't - why?

Postey mentioned it on the BS thread.

Could it just be that he was clapping the fans. How does one clap sarcastically. What does that look like. Just kicking a man whilst he’s down.

I find it hard to believe he was being sarcastic, more collecting his thoughts surely. But it did seem noteworthy.

Bobby Wiliamson did. Away at Crewe he made a double substitution and fans sang "you don't know what you're doing". He applauded the GA.

Sheridan (allegedly) stuck two fingers up at our fans after a game once - and wasn't sacked.

Not the most approachable nor pleasant of blokes was he though! Still, he got us out of the huge hole we were in at the time and I will be grateful to him for that.

Watched on ifollow and at the final whistle, you could see him stood on the touch line, he didn’t acknowledge any of the players as they walked off the pitch. He was mainly looking over towards the away end. When everyone had gone in he lifted his hands up to clap the away support but just as he did that the coverage ended so didn’t see anymore than that

How the heck does one applaud or wave sarcastically?

You don't think he was just thanking them for their support, do you, or does that not go along with your wish to get him out?

Some people will go to any length, won't they?

He started to applaud the fans and was met with a chorus of boos so he stopped applauding and turned away. He waited in the tunnel area until the stadium was almost empty and then made his way down the tunnel. My thoughts were that he didn't actually want to go into the changing room immediately. I think he was gathering his thoughts on what to say and also giving the players the opportunity to reflect on their performance.

That is probably the most plausible reasoning.

Judging by the way Carey was chuntering on the pitch he may have well started the "frank" discussion in the changing room.

Often thought the queen engages in this, how treasonous.

Just one game, there sure as hell better be a good reaction on 20 October, a winable fixture, or the trust fumes are gone.
