east end and west end of roof gone just middle left. Does that machine cut and lift the material or was it all cut before hand and just needed to be peeled back. looks like some of the frame work taken down as well.

Anyone explain the tyres that were shown on GoS which appear to be only in use at the two ends of the Grandstand?

They're there to stop any falling debris from the roof damaging the remaining structure of the grandstand.
