Can't do either without the footings, as seen going in on last Sunday's update on GoS.

The lower steel needed the road we were told, which was finished this morning.

The roof needs the steel work under the current terracing moved/thinned and protected too.

I see that they have been clearing rubble and earth from the old Mayflower terracing in preparation for some other work in that area.

Do you know if they are doing the new lower Mayflower terracing before the Grandstand roof or are they doing the roof and then the terracing?

Since they haven't started rust proofing the Grandstand supports I was thinking the terracing would go in first, but if they did that then they would lose the new road they have just put in, presumably making it more difficult to build the Grandstand roof (unless they are installing the upper part of the terracing and then building the Grandstand roof and then installing the lower part of the terracing).

You'll see some work starting on the lower terrace next week.

That statement tells us you haven't looked at the GoS photos, some of which clearly show men protecting the grandstand supports!!!!

Sorry - yes I did see those pictures thanks and a great job they were doing as well. I was referring to the main supports for the roof where scaffolding was recently put up. Will try to be clearer next time!

Does anyone know if there have been any provisions for rail seating in the lower terrace?
Rail seating is now permitted to be used, just not sold as standing areas.
Would be great if we we're one of the first clubs to use it.
The new White Hart Lane has a very large section behind the goal.

I think they're all normal seats. There was a discussion as to whether the corners may be "safe standing" when completed

Categorically, rail seats haven’t been given the green light in stadiums such as ours; neither for installation nor use.

WHL has taken a punt, & has the capacity to keep that area closed on a permanent basis until the law is changed (or the Home Office decide a work-around is sufficient).

There’s still no indication from the HO as to when the decision will be taken.

Rail seats now permitted to be installed in the green guide. Just not advertised as standing. They suggest they are installed where standing is common to enhance safety.
