It's match day!

Bradford City 93,500 Twitter followers v Argyle 92,100 Twitter followers.

Eddie Ilderton is the referee for today's game. It will be just his fifth match of the season, including Argyle's 1-1 draw at Burton Albion at the end of December. In those five games he has shown 15 yellow cards and two red cards.

Derek Adams talks about the Bradford game. ..
“When you go there, you have try and silence the crowd. You have to play on the front foot and try to get that first goal, which is going to be advantageous to you.

“We’ve done well there in the past, we have won there, which was a really good experience, but it’s a lovely venue to go and play at. The pitch is not in the best condition at this moment in time, just probably because of the structure of the building.

“Atmosphere-wise, they obviously sell a good number of season tickets before the start of the season. They’ve got a stadium that’s 30,000 plus, with probably roughly 18,000 in it.

“Bradford have got themselves into a situation where they had gotten out of the bottom zone, but dropped back in. They’ve done really well at home in recent times, so we’ve got to be at the top of our game.”

“We’ve had a very good spell where we’ve been on the front foot and caused teams problems, and we’re going to have to do exactly the same to Bradford. They lost last week against Fleetwood at home, and we’ll probably have to do the same as Fleetwood did.”

Bradford manager David Hopkin talks about the game ....
“The Fleetwood game was frustrating for everyone and we want to put that behind us by getting a good result against Plymouth.
“Plymouth will come and try and play. Derek Adams has done a fantastic job there and they are climbing the table.

“They are on a good run and are scoring plenty of goals. That is the way they go about their business and it should be an entertaining game.
“What they have proven is that a few good results can move you six or seven places up the league table - which is our aim.

“Although we lost last weekend, results went our way and kept it very tight at the bottom end of the division.
“But with that in mind we have to take our opportunities over the coming weeks and get away from where we currently are.”

Argyle reserves beat Torpoint 1-0 in a South-West Peninsula League game last night with striker Alex Fletcher grabbing the late winner.

Bradford 0 - 0 Argyle

Freddie Ladapo had a goal disallowed for offside and Graham Carey hit the post, Bradford also hit the woodwork and Argyle had to survive late pressure and were thankful to Kyle Letheren for some good saves and a great late block from Niall Canavan to prevent a Bradford winner. Oscar Threlkeld finally made his (fourth?) debut as a second half substitute.
Argyle are now five points clear of the relegation zone.
