Many congratulations to Argyle Ladies Dev. team on being crowned league champions courtesy of a 2-2 draw at St. Agnes. They needed just the one point and they got it from the boot of captain Alex Hugh from the penalty spot, a fitting climax to a great season
The first team put on what was probably their poorest display of the season, conceding a very late equaliser to Gillingham. Zoe Cunningham got the opener in the first half, but despite having much of the possession created very few chances.
The lifeless pitch did not help, but it was the visitors who adapted the better of the the two sides and began to pressurise Argyles defence, to eventually get their reward.
The girls will have to put this performance out of their minds and prepare for the next game.
