A Rangers news website speculates that due to the friendship between Steven Gerrard and Ryan Lowe fringe players like keeper Robby McCrorie or striker Zak Rudden could join Argyle on-loan.

McCrorie is a 21-year old keeper who is yet to make a first-team league appearance for Rangers but has played in the Europa League as a substitute, he has played for Scotland at all levels including for the under-21 national team. He spent last season on-loan at Championship side Greenock Morton.
Rudden is a 19-year old striker who last season scored 12 goals in 31 appearances while on-loan at Falkirk in the Championship, he is yet to play for the Rangers first-team.

Former Argyle midfielder Paul Paton has signed for Scottish Championship side Dunfermline on a one-year deal.

Striker Freddie Ladapo is wanted by Sunderland and Portsmouth who are set to offer £500,000 to sign him. Sunderland had a £400,000 bid rejected in January.
