The problem with providing a second rate service that plays “lift music” in the build up to the match and at half time, is that if your equipment fails when you switch it on 5 minutes before the match, you only have 5 mins to fix it. If you provided a service in the build up with interviews/discussions etc, like Radio Devon do, then if the equipment fails when you switch it on, you have much more time to fix it without missing the start of the match for the fans who have paid for commentary.
