3-1 to us I reckon and Cooper to play in Mayor's role. A tough call on Baxter or Edwards as defensive central midfielder, Baxter is unlikely to play a full 90 minutes so could be used as an impact sub.
Aimson played on the right side of three central defenders while at Bury so could replace Wootton.

He was crunched at Swindon & spent a while down injured. The tackle, I thought was malicious & should have resulted in a red or a yellow minimum, the ref thought otherwise.

I was struck from the Herald article, what a bad season Carlisle were having.

20th position and 3 defeats in the last four.

Not a great start I thought.

Having a Pretty terrible season so far I thought but then they are a small unfashionable club. Small budget ... so not that unexpected.

Then I reached the Herald’s sobering comment “However, they know a win against Argyle would move them level on points with their hosts”.

I think we will be a different team without the predictable Mayor and this could indeed be a turning point. I think we have been rather hamstrung by his continued selection and teams will have more to think about in the future ... rather than the predictable ‘Mayor McFadzean cul de sac’ we often end up in.
