He was fully responsible for initially underwriting the near £4m contract cost of the ‘horseshoe’ with Barr before the Football Foundation money arrived. Without him, it simply would not have happened.
It is difficult to believe his tenure lasted as long as it did.. One thing is for sure, it was never dull with him at the helm. So many stories.
