Thing is it's a 51% majority needed. With Bury gone and 23 votes at least a clear decision will be reached, although there will be some noise coming from the losers which will include Tranmere who think they should stay up after winning last three games played.

With a number of teams having played more games than others and in particular, either more at home or more away, I cannot understand the preference of the EFL to use straight ppg rather than weighted ppg; surely weighted would be the fairer method.

When will the vote take place? Until we know the result nothing is certain.

I read it that the vote was 51% of the whole EFL.

Given that the Championship want to play on, that makes it less likely that the result will be conclusive.

AG

The Board considers that the majority required to curtail the 2019/20 season in any division should be 51%. Determining whether or not to curtail the season is a decision for each division to take

I read it as a vote on the proposed regulation changes which they've outlined in the statement today, across all clubs.

Then each division individually decides to play-on or finish early on PPG by 51% majority within the division. No issue if different divisions come to a different decision as seems likely with league two vs championship, with L1 going either way.

How the Championship and League 1 decide to finish the season is irrelevant for us. Promotion and relegation issues are a certainty and has been confirmed by the EFL.
We are going up :scarf:

All the teams from 8th - 20th should vote for PPG + teams 1st and 2nd....so good on the EFL.... there won’t be many that will won’t to play so 51% should be reached....I know the Championship want to play but it’s going to come down to finances.

I will believe it when Argyle confirm that we are definitely promoted!

No offence to any Argyle outlet but I'll believe it only when the EFL officially confirm it.

But who decides on the weighting? Regardless, I suspect that it would cause more problems than it solves.

I would have thought the only way of fairly weighting the PPG is to take a separate average for a clubs home games and away games. Each average is applied the the clubs remaining home and away appropriately.
