15: Because he's not tall enough to reach the button for the 12th floor!
[Recycled question - it used to be a little old lady!] :)

Because he'll be carrying a brolly that he can use to press the button?

2. 21 - there are 6 rounds of handshakes as you donā€™t shake hands with yourself. 6 in the first round, then as the first person has shook hands with everyone heā€™s out leaving the second one with 5 people to shake hands with. So on and so on until everyone is done.

12. Not sure about this...

Just under 40 ounces allowing for the weight of the lid / cork and label / labels (glue to stick the labels)

Which is odd because itā€™s about 1100 - 1200ml depending on specific gravity of wine and sugar levels...

Weā€™ve just had a baby so Iā€™m not sure if my lateral thinking is off lateral right now.

In the spirit of this thread I hope no-one minds a little mental arithmetic shortcut. 6+5+4+3+2+1 = (6+1) + (5+2) + (4 +3) = 3 x 7 = 21. It always works like that, however long the sequence! :)

So, for instance, 100+99+98... ...+3+2+1 = 50 pairs of 101 = 5,050. Simples.

Just be careful wth uneven numbers. For example, 99+98+97... ...+3+2+1 is 49 x 100 plus that lone 50 in the middle that doesn't pair with anything. So, (49 x 100) + 50 = 4,950, which is 100 less than the calculation above, as it should be.
