If we had been able to sign someone with equivalent experience/temperament, then I'd have preferred not to have brought him back because - like it or not - division gets caused when the issue of Luke comes up.
However, finding someone with that experience who's happy to be a backup to Cooper seems a hard task.
I've got no doubt he'll be a strong positive influence behind the scenes and in the dressing room, which I guess is the most important thing. However, I'm with the poster who said something like "I can never bring myself to sing his name".
On a more positive note, I'm really excited to see what Cooper can do as our #1 - it feels like we've been talking about him as the next big thing for a long time, and the potential of seeing a youth product thrive is real point of interest next season.
