Does anyone else remember us playing away at Shrewsbury about 25 or so years ago, when two of their defenders got so upset they started a punch up with each other?

Was it the game where Neil Illmann got a late winner in a 3-2 victory? Don't remember a punch up but may have been too busy celebrating!

I reckon if we play Moore and Canavan from the start we will win 3-0...

There's usually a pre-match press conference on a Thursday but so far there's no indication that one is taking place.
Apart from the Covid statements the club media has been quiet this week.

Edit. The press conference has taken place.

I can remember their old ground adjacent to the River Severn, where a man moored up with a coracle to collect the match ball out of the river, if it was kicked out of the ground. Those wee the days!

Managed to sort a Q&A for this one thanks to the Blue & Amber Fanzine. Hope you enjoy!

Opposition View: Plymouth Argyle v Shrewsbury

We moved from 5-3-2 last season to a new 4-3-3 tactic which has seen us be more attacking, but lose the defensive solidity that to be honest kept us up last season. It’s a transitional time for the lads moving from one to the other. Seems psychologically they are still stuck with the defensive first mindset at times but there are positive signs coming through. When it clicks (if it clicks) then we should start scoring more and being a real threat. Might be a few weeks off though.

Shrews have signed Leon Clarke. He had a loan spell with us about 15 years ago. He was carp then. If he plays against us you can guess what comes next.

He was absolute carp then, but has managed to sustain a pretty decent career. 450 + games, 140 odd goals, mostly at Championship level.
