Ah what a great watch that video is. Credit to Argyle and the young lads for doing that.

My dad used to watch him and said he was an absolutely fantastic player for Argyle.

This fella had England caps. Clearly a class act.

He was even more successful with Birmingham City than he was with us, but he was part of the team that won the Third Division South title in 1952 and he will be remembered with fondness for his 40 odd goals in nearly 200 games in the six years that he was with us.

A sad day, the passing of another Argyle 'great'.

Like many others no doubt, as a very small boy I was brought up on stories of Astall and Govan, Bill Shortt, Jumbo Chisholm, Pat Jones, etc.
