John Acres Five Live

Listening to football today on Five Live and the commentator John Acres was chatting to Don Goodman about Sunday morning Footy and he said he played for Wembury Rovers in the Plymouth Sunday league and they conceded an own goal from kick off. Is Mr Acres an Argyle fan???

Born in Barnstaple, went to school in Plymouth. Worked on Radio Devon sport years ago. Suspected Argyle fan but due to his job and location I expect he keeps a low profile. Funnily enough the producer of his radio programme (Matt Lee) (Stoke) is an Argyle fan! :scarf:

Played in Wembury when I lived there.

I was the "Romain Larrieu" during my time but I was NOT THAT GOOD !!

Do NOT recall Don Goodman ever being present ?

You wouldn't, he was brought up in Yorkshire. John Acres was the Wembury lad.
