Just a few teasers on New Year's Day matches

A Which two players each scored for Argyle in consecutive matches and together in one of them?

B Which is the only club that Argyle have played in consecutive matches?

C What is the highest aggregate of goals scored in a New Year's Day match - it's happened twice - you might well have been there for the most recent one.

D Who have been Argyle's most frequent opponents?

E Who, with 3 goals, tops the scoring lists for Argyle on New Year's Day?

F No Argyle player has scored more than 2 goals in a New Year's Day match - who did it most recently?

Is the answer to C 8?

Cardiff home ended 4-4 in mid 80s with Crudgington getting bad facial injury and Nisbet playing in goal for (from memory) about 50 minutes.

No idea of a previous eight goal game on NY's day though.

A Tommy Tynan, 1987, 1988, 1990, Robbie Turner 1991, 1992. (Can't see them together though)
B Tranmere Rovers 1972, 1974
C 8 goals, 2-6 vs Bournemouth 1927, 4-4 vs Cardiff City 1986
D Cardiff City, 3 times, 1966, 1986, 2008
E Tommy Tynan, but I count 4 goals, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1990
F Ruben Lameiras vs Oxford United 2019

Just to clarify the answer to A.....

90-91 Swindon (a) 1-1 Robbie Turner
91-92 Portsmouth (h) 3-2 Robbie Turner, Andy Morrison, Dwight Marshall
92-93 No match on Jan 1
93-94 Bournemouth (a) 1-0 Dwight Marshall

So the answer is Robbie Turner and Dwight Marshall

Apologies - I hadn't realised that I hadn't confirmed that Vampires11 had the correct answers so the answer to B is Tranmere Rovers 1972, 1974.
