Memory Man will be on this, but, Shilton played for Argyle in his 40s.

Jim Furnell was late 30s

Or is this only in recent seasons looking at the "ten"?

Two problems with that list:

Firstly the picture of David Fox is actually a picture of Craig Tanner.

Secondly there's no Taribo West.

Not sure what the criteria was as he has included Paul Wotton so not very recent.

Couldn't have put it better! I think an honourable mention should be due for John Oakes, who was 42 when he made his debut for us in 1947. Faur play to him he played well at the heart of the defence in a poor side. He had played in the 1946 Cup Final for Charlton and I don't think too many 40 year old have done that. I think Shilton will be up there with perhaps our other player- manager Jack Rowley?Neil Dougall must have been nudging 38 when he last played a first team game. Job for Steve Dean and his database, or someone else with a lotta time to spare. The ages of players are there for every game.

"this list is way out" is quite complimentary!! It is worse than pathetic. GoS is worth a look for a more accurate list. I think these idiots only got 3 or 4 of the top 20.

It was just a loan signing, I remember him playing but only a handful of times at most.
