3 from me. He didn't give their pen when he had a goodish view of it, asked the linesman who no way could have judged if it was in or out of the box, and then changed his mind. His decision making throughout the game was totally random and unfathomable.

Spineless, gave them everything.

A generous 1/10.

Shocking how he let the linesman overrule him when he had the best view. Didn’t seem to want to give us 2 clear pens. Opoku red was correct. They were the better team and didn’t need the leg up from him. Third goal was offside. I’m glad we didn’t need anything from this game, I hope we never have him again.

I hardly ever seriously criticise referees; they are entitled to mistakes and off days like all the rest of us.

However, in this game, every possible "was it / wasn't it" decision went Sunderland's way, with the Argyle players consistently penalised for the slightest of infringements.

Just one comparative example, the Sunderland penalty was surely no more, or less, of a penalty than the incident just before the opening goal, but both decisions went in favour of the visitors.

On the subject of the dire refs we get in this division, just wait until you see the Posh 'penalty' which gave them the 3-3 draw (after being 0-3 down). :funny:

How anyone could give that as a foul is beyond comprehension.

Let's see Lundan Cabbie defend that bugger.

Haven’t seen it but at least it was against Lincoln. Must be some karma in that.

The worst this season.
A red card for Opoku, 6 yellows for Argyle including one for Ryan Lowe, an offside goal given and a penalty to Sunderland for a foul outside of the box. We also had a nailed on penalty area for a foul on Edwards not given.
There were no yellow cards awarded to the Sunderland players.

Nine red cards this season tells its own story.

3/10.

He was poor in the big decisions, and anything red was given. Red card was correct however as both were yellow cards Opoku has regularly attracted them and he even had a talking to before the first one.
