I see on the Argyle website that the Academy is organising Open Goalkeeping Trials.

I can understand that with the defence in front of him this season Mike Cooper has had to become expert in trying to defend open goals. But looking forward to next season and beyond I had hoped we could move on from that.

I've always thought it would be a good idea for Argyle to have a trials weekend/week for 18+ year olds. Getting into pro football always seems a bit of a closed shop so it would be good to open things up a bit.

Set some fitness level tasks, ball skill drills etc and see if anyone stands out. There are a lot of good players around that just never get the opportunity to show themselves.
