Just shows all the hard work by Kevin Hodges and the previous management team over the years appears to be beginning to pay off.
One point to make is that the U18 season was affected by Covid so the usual system didn’t take place where the mid season split when the top teams from the South West league join the top teams in the South East didn’t happen. So what Argyle appears to have won is a mini league of the South West teams just on 6 games, not sure why the matches in the first part of the season don’t count.

Yeah "winning" the league is a commendable bit of spin from the Argyle comms department. Seems to have been an end of season tournament involving Argyle and the smaller South West clubs to get some games in as the usual league format was abandoned this year. Better to win it than not, but we were something like 5th or 6th out of 11 over the main season.

Nearly spit tea over my keyboard when I read this - well done Pogle :funny: :funny:

Well done to all concerned as well. Looks like the youth are slowly progressing.

It looks like somebody has got over excited with their headlines.

Oxford United U18's have won the Youth Alliance South West Division. Argyle finished 6th out of 11 clubs.

Merit League One/Two/Three are secondary competitions where teams are split geographically into groups of seven and play each other just once. The team winning the most points win the regional group. Argyle won their group.

So basically Argyle u18’s were mid-table. Does anyone know What other clubs made up the 11 teams in this u18 league - does anyone have a final league table?
