An interesting interview with Darren. After the recent comments about attitude in a younger player I picked up on this:

“It’s a process that takes place on the training ground we’re raising the standards of self-discipline on a daily basis, and you can see the results of that through performances and running statistics".

I'm massively impressed with Darren Way. HIs attitude and his passion for our Academy is outstanding. He has a clear vision and that's translated into a quick win this season. Beating them up the road to top spot, even in a regionalised league, is a real milestone and shows me we are definitely heading on an upward trajectory.

It feels like we're focused on the academy in a way we've never been before - it's great to see.

It's long been slightly embarrassing that a tinpot club like Exeter were producing players of far higher standard than us - hopefully we're fixing this for the future and introducing a valuable new revenue stream in the process.
