Someone in the know please tell me it's not true.

Sat at the back of the Grandstand yesterday the man sat next to me said Mason was off, done dea,l after I commented he was our best player on the pitch.
He would not go into detail., but he was one of those who knew the old and ex players who sit there.

Offers on the table for 5 players, including Mason and Zubar.

The Mason offer is true. Unfortunately, even if he wants to stay, it seems as if he may have to go.

I know we're in no position to turn down offers, but with 5 offers on the table, the other 4 could go? He's a bright talent and should be kept. It'd be interesting to see what kind of fee we'd be looking at.

I know it's necessary to accept pretty much any offer, but it would be very sad to see Mason, Stephens or Nelson go.

Fallon = £250k
Seip = £50k
Donnelly = £100k
McLean = £50k

Total = £750k

Wages from above plus Timar, Molyneaux (released) = £25-30k / week = £600k

There, thats the HMRC bill paid and 600k off the wage bill to June, how can we afford to sell anyone else?

I can see us selling Mason, hopefully we can get a good price for him, although i would imagine much like the gosling deal most of it will be in add ons!!

Easy to quote these figures but we pay tax and the football league as well as any agent fees out of the fee so wont be much left.

Cant see us getting any fees for Seip or Maclean.
