Thanks for the post on the ISC Andy.

I think it's fair to say that no time is perfect for the Trust election but we have agreed steps to ensure that the Trust can continue to be properly represented in discussions and meetings during the election period.

The original announcement included this: "However, the involvement of Trust representatives will be needed on the contingency plan committee. Chair Chris Webb will look after this, supported by Vice Chair Lee Jameson and local ISC members where appropriate. Should a fundamental decision be absolutely required during the election period then Trust members will be consulted". Additionally, it has been agreed that if necessary the ISC can be "recalled" to meet during the election period should the need arise.

So, we will press ahead. It is a good time to have an election because, whatever happens, the new Society Board will be engaging with the new owners of the club. We think that the added legitimacy of having elected Board members as early as is practicable makes good sense.
