Fellow Pasoti readers, It is with deep sadness and emotional pain that I write this, but I thought it important to let you all know the situation regarding Tony Hooper.
Tony has not been feeling well for a little while now and had recently been admitted to hospital suffering from the COVID-19 virus. He spent about 9 days in hospital, relying heavily on depleting supplies of oxygen and was allowed home to spend his remaining days with his wife, Lynda.
This morning, I received a phone call from Lynda to say that Tony had slipped into a coma and it looks now that it is only a matter of time before he slips away. Lynda is supported by care and hospice nurses and the local community are on hand to assist where required.
There are many on here who will know Tony, who has been a lifelong Argyle fan, a strong voice in all matters Argyle and an active committee member of the Argyle Fans' Trust. Tony, I pray for you and also for Lynda and your children. Thank you for our times together and your wisdom and direction.

Very sad. It's hard to put into words at the moment.
Just hope it's a painless as it can be.
I truly love my back pocket.

Very very sad news.

He will missed that’s for sure.

Had many laughs with him and in equal amounts run ins.

The Green Army will be poorer without him.

In case you only knew Tony by face, here's a photo in happier times, Tony yapping to the (then) Chairman.

Again, for clarity, Tony was known as Tony Cholwell on here as he lives in Cholwell.

This hit me this when I read this. Tony was one of the most interesting people you could sit down and chat with.

He had a very interesting job ☺️

That’s sad news indeed. I have done quite a few ‘bucket rattling’ stints with Tony. :-(

Very shocked and saddened. Thoughts are with Lynda and the rest of his family at this difficult time.
