Agreed. It is a half-arsed halfway house of a development.
But in the grand scheme of things £6m evidently doesn’t go far. What underwhelms from a visual aspect and frustrates is that the aerial view clearly shows the vast potential footprint we had to work with from east to west. But it’s the actual numbers that it’ll house that disappoints the most - a full 2000 less than the Lyndhurst opposite. And it’s not as if the Lyndy is a monster of a stand, is it.
You have to laugh at some of the images from other reports with nice wraparound seating in the Barn Park/ Grandstand corner. Plenty of demolition of currently being built structures for that to ever happen.
No demolition required as the seating in the Barn Park corner go on top of the new changing rooms.
It does seem odd that despite all the publicity and scrutiny of the plans when they were published so many people don’t seem to have a clue what is being built.
