True, but also no reason why we can't progress on both fronts, they go hand in hand. Better facilities on the playing side will help attract a better quality of player, and thus (in theory at least) success on the field. Better facilities on the hospitality side will generate income which will help attract a better quality of player, and thus (in theory at least) success on the field.

Exactly, it's a virtuous circle :). Whereas when we were 'successful' before, there wasn't any foundation of quality infrastructure to consolidate or back it up at all.

Demportdave, please take this in good nature - but just out of interest - what year / season did optimism slip out of your Argyle life?

Was there a defining moment?

I imagine it was a slow burn - and you as a bright-eyed 14 year old surely wouldn't be talking like you are now - but was there a moment where you just thought to yourself 'That's it - I'm done with ambition/hope - better to accept failure as the norm'.

Or did it just fade slowly away over the years?

Incidentally please don't this as criticism, all fans imo make up the wonderful tapestry of the Green Army, and God knows we need every type of opinion on Pasoti to keep things interesting.

I'm going to apply to be the project manager for the next major stadium job because after viewing GOS I don't need any qualifications.
