Total guess on my part, but suspect the bit being boxed in might be below the minimum ceiling height level for modern building regs?

Could it be that the concourse will be extended widthwise to the rear of the stand?

I think the pinch-point people have noticed is halfway along, where the old toilets are (and are staying). The new space at this level, provided by the extension, is being used for the club's offices.

I suspect that is correct. You can see the effect if you look at level 02 Concourse Floor Plan Stage 2 and it's associated sections.

It doesn't look like it's being widened, as the new extension will be home to offices and meeting rooms.

I haven't been in the Grandstand for years. Can someone remind me of the toilet situation? I remember the gents (not so much the ladies) being somewhat small on that concourse, plus another one outside. What I am looking at on the plans is just a single cubicle for the men in the Grandstand, plus, interestingly, a unisex facility with 4 cubicles. There are no facilities on Level 3, and the facilities on level one (boxes) are not general access.

That same level One drawing also indicates the external facilities, where the old urinals used to be, and there are none there now.

What that means is for a stand of ??? capacity, there is one cubicle and a trough urinal of about 42 ft, with 8 whbs.

I must have missed something.

The only cups we're likely to win are in the kitchen.

Are you forgetting the new facilities on the back of the superstore, and the large new toilet block down by the GT's building?

Quite possibly! All I see on the plans are 3 additional male cubicles behind the superstore, nothing else. Even so, that would require having to leave the grandstand just to find another male cubicle. I just find it curious, that's all.

I guess the moral here is to go before you leave home.

(I see that the architect's are from Exeter, which is even more surprising. You think they'd be used to dealing with sh8te)
