Mark Matthews, whilst your passion for youth is admirable your statement on here defies belief. By doing things this way, not only will we have a much needed improvement, we will also have a uniquely great ground unlike many of these new identikit grounds popping up all over the country.
If you want to see a refurb done brilliantly looks at the Boston Red Sox. Then have a look at what the NY Mets did. Left the Shay stadium I think and moved to a new ground. I know it baseball but it has similar style of traditions and deep community roots akin to footy.
In this country are there many grounds that are better off in their new soulless pits then their old "character" stadia? Elm park the exception but not many others.
My point is I know we will have a ground and stadium that will be the envy of many other fans.
