Presumably the WHOLE grandstand is available to pick from for those grandstanders, and you might be taking someone's seat that they wanted to move to.

I reckon the seats behind the dugout might be popular, for example (might get wet though).

Well, why wouldn't they?
They sat in the old grandstand and left because they had to. Reckon it is fair enough to offer them a free first dibs at somewhere near their old seat or a different location if they want a change.

I'm considering moving to the new stand but I might wait till next season, anyhowbut I'm happy for all the previous ST holders to settle first! :scarf:

Yep, and also couldn't sit in the lower tier before if they wanted because there weren't seats. So now that it's possible to sit there, they have the choice.

There were seats in the lower tier as far as I can remember. At the very back, just a couple of rows. And they have lost their position as they have been supplanted by the posh seats so will have first choice of where else in the lower tier to seat themselves.

Very good point.

there was around 200 people who used to sit in the lower mayflower seats in front of the old boxes, they will get first choice of the lower grandstand and also the disabled fans (non wheelchair user)and helper, that where accommodated in the corner, will also get first choice before anyone else i would think

Speaking as a former Lower Mayflower season ticket holder I can't see any good reason to return to that side of the ground. The thought of probably paying full price to sit on an open terrace where you'll inevitably get a soaking several times a season holds no appeal whatsoever.
