Unfortunately the seats have to be locked down for European cup (CL & Europa) games.

Same rules with the Devon Bowl.

Seems a strange place to put it. Can’t they just convert block 3 into safe standing??

Surely argyle aren’t that stupid to put safe standing area in front of the disabled platform. Although this is argyle so wouldn’t put it past them with all the strange decisions coming from the club lately!!

Looking at the seats, they look like standard seats to me, not the safe standing variant which can be locked. Most likely explanation is higher rails to assist those less abled with access/support

My first thought too. There was mention of facilities for ambulant disabled supporters a while back when explaining why the disabled area had been made smaller.

First I thought that these were rails to help people stand up and then I though safe-standing. The first explanation probably makes a bit more sense given the location, but they have used three different seat colours in a section that should probably be all green so I think they could possibly be assessing different types of seat frame.

Seems very odd place to put them, IF that is what is happening.

Having people standing in front of the disabled supporters does not seem right.

I was about to say 'of course it's not safe standing' but that looks very very similar to the Spurs safe standing areas. Maybe just a test? Seems odd to criticise for blocking the views of disabled fans though, when clearly that will have been considered and won't happen.
