Now on GoS, instalment 78 of the development story. 85 photos at the end of a very wet and windy week, thanks to Bob and his long suffering (weather-wise) camera.

It's really starting to look good now. Yes, we would all have liked filled in corners and the main stand extended left but what a huge improvement visually on what was there before. As for inside, it will be a world away from the previous facilities. Thanks for for the latest photos.

Another cracking set of photos!

Question though... if the seat installers have to cover the padded seats to protect from the rain, does that mean they will always be covered outside of match day?
If not, then i wouldnt be overly confident that they will last long!!

Sunday would not be Sunday without them! :D

Many thanks to Steve and Bob for brightening up my damp and dismal weekend...

I must admit that did go through my mind as well.

I suspect that it’s more to do with the seat padding. If that gets wet then it will not dry out. Who wants to sit on a wet padded seat?

On a normal seat you can tip it up, use your hand to remove any further excess.
If your padded seat gets wet, while you can get the water off the outside, if the water has seeped through there is not a lot you can do about it. Have you ever tried to wring foam out to get it to dry, it basically does not work.

So yep, those seats are always going to need to be covered.
I don’t make the same mistake twice. I make it three or four times. You know. Just to be sure.

So that begs the question, why put padded seats which must be covered into a fairly exposed area?

Been saying that for a while - someone came up with something - but cant remeber what. It definitely is narrower then before.
Hope the TV screens are not positioned near the main entrances, like they were before.

Nowhere else they can go, really. The hospitality area is on that level, so the 'posh' seats kind of have to be in front of it. The Pioneers bit is on the upper tier, but there's a tight staircase access that's OK for a few people but not hundreds at a time.

I'm not sure it's that great a problem, is it? The seats are technically covered so the rain has to be fairly heavy and blowing southerly, and it doesn't rain THAT much for it to be a regular issue.

Thanks again guy’s.

Can anybody tell me what the colour grey has to do with Argyle and what are the barriers either side of the dugouts for except to be a trip hazard.
