Grey for the balcony/advertising background? I was very skeptical about boarding over the Leitch balcony but the grey background brings out the adverts really well. Grey is a neutral colour so works well in bringing out other colours (in our case green!).

The barriers aren't a trip hazard because no-one will be walking through or over them on a matchday. The fans will enter from either side of the dugouts and the players/coaching staff will get to the dugouts from the pitch. They'll only be opened when vehicles/heavy machinery need access to the whole stand.

I hope that whole dugout area is astroturfed though, and as much of that area as possible to make it look as if the stand is as close as it can be to the pitch.

Can anybody tell me what the colour grey has to do with Argyle and what are the barriers either side of the dugouts for except to be a trip hazard.

I have looked at old photos of the grandstand from when I first moved out into the Devonport. The backing to the adverts then was cream and the outriggers were green. But those colours are essentially missed because the adverts are what the viewer sees, not the little bit of colour either side or the outriggers. The people who pay for advertising do not want punters to be admiring the colour of what's between the adverts.

Would certainly make me think twice about upgrading to corporate if they could not not guarantee that I would not get bloody wet whilst watching the game. Not ideal at all.

The new dugouts are very close to one another- that will no doubt lead to fisticuffs in the future !

Can’t help but wonder if the white hoarding in front of Bobbys Garden will go when the rest of it in front of the Grandstand gets removed - it’s going to look VERY tatty if it does.

On the plus side, perhaps then Stage 2 with its corners and accompanying extended roof would become a major priority.

Are they going to sort that area out? Including the exterior fencing(hardboard?)

Would certainly be nice Biggs but im sure SH has his priorities set on other things in the near future. Mainly creating a self sustainable club and hopefully getting us up a division or two in the process

They are also very close to the fans in the first few rows of seats.....

Based on the barriers position, fans can walk up very close and in front (to the side) of the dug out, rather than being behind the dug out as it was in the old Mayflower seats terrace from memory.....

They are selling grey and black stripe scarfs in the shop now it’s more than a neutral colour.

When we are chasing the game and the ball goes out of play and one of our defenders who is on the bench goes to retrieve the ball you can bet your bottom dollar the will trip trying to jump the barrier with the lead they have in their boots. Watch this space.

1) I'm fairly sure grey isn't being introduced as an Argyle colour, don't worry. Grey with green trim is a smart combination for leisure wear, and a good way for adverts to stick out on the balcony. That's it.

2) That's a very specific and quite unlikely scenario that could happen with normal advertising boards or drink bottle holders. And that's what the ballboys are there for, anyway. Can't see an issue.

Agree with other Posts; The Dugouts are too close together, and blimey....more barriers than the Mexican / USA Border.

Are the Barriers next to the dugouts going to be closed during the Match? if so , it will look bleddy stupid and watching subs straddle them every time they go for a warm up will be farcical.

The Padded Seats exposed to the elements, the ARG YLE starting on the bottom row to accommodate the padded seats looks like a compromise, the perspex shelter missing from the Barn End of the Grandstand making it all look a bit lopsided and unfinished, all this leaves me a bit underwhelmed and after 37 years of supporting the club a sense of 'typical argo', but as Del Boy in teaching a lesson to Rodney once said (who lied to Cassandra about where he lived) "i want better than this but i'm not ashamed of it".

And Monday is my Whinge Day.

It does all look a much of a muchness though
