I was told at FGR that the new dug outs will not be used for the Bradford City match, Mike.

What will they use then a bench, as the temporary dugouts are gone. The base for the artificial turf is in place and i would imagine the turf will be laid tomorrow or sometime this week, so do not see any reason for the official dugouts not to be used. Just an observation from afar.

Good point. The old ones are gone! Maybe they’ll just provide some chairs.

Getting some deckchairs in. Should make for a more relaxed atmosphere for the 4th official. :D

They could get some of those old Night Watchman Stripey Tents and a Brazier or old Dustbin to light a fire. Would help with the Warm Ups. Dig out some old Dockyard Donkey Jackets and they'll be all set.

Thanks for the photos, which I appreciate hugely.

I'm made very sad however by the vast wastage of space to each side of our pitch. See photo 17.

When I watched Argyle at Home Park in the 60's,70's and 80's (before I left Devon) it seemed to me that the crowd was much closer to the touch line. Indeed, a couple of days ago GoS had a picture of the team running out in 1959, with the touch line no more than two yards from the crowd.

It was Adams who narrowed the pitch and I fear that he is having a lasting effect.

So please Mr Lowe can you reinstate the correct width of the pitch for next season. No need for this astro turf wastage!

Dockyardies didn’t wear Donkey Jackets, they were called Fearnoughts.

I didn't say which Dockyard ;)

Oh THIS again. That space has nothing, diddly squat, zilch, to do with the pitch size. If the pitch was reinstated as it was before, it would just mean that white line in photo 17 would be at the edge of the grass you see, instead of slightly within it.

I think there’s more space between the pitch and the grandstand now, because the new lower tier is steeper. But that makes the astro turf even more essential, because we want continuous green as close to the stand as possible. And obviously for the dugout area.

Isn't there a 'dot' missing after the 'C' in the solar panel PAFC?

Tin hat on here... it’s a really great idea but I don’t think the PAFC solar panels work. Makes the outside of the stand look a lot busier than just a seamless block, and obviously is sacrificing extra energy to get that effect.

I think the solar panels look great :-)

At least they are symmetrical unlike the ARG YLE which I really don't like.
the little diamond in between letters with P A F C would have looked better.
