Refurbished Grandstand, restricted views?

Whilst the 'New' granstand will look great when fully up and running I have noticed that the Barn Park end does not line up with the goal line at the Barn Park end. Never has done of course. The side panels seem to be fully enclosed so there is no way fans in that end block can see the BP goal. Obviously not having ben up there the concerns may have been addressed. Just an observation as seen from the Lyndy.

That has always been true and was covered by GoS ages ago when the eastern wall was replaced.

Have seen pictures that confirm this. There will be at least a few seats at the BP end of the upper tier where you can't see the goal.

No-one’s idea, just a reality of the existing structure. Would it look better without seats in that section?

I hardly think a handful of seats with a restricted view is a big deal, flog them for a quid or something

Pointless argument.

Nothing to see here! :coat:

The viewing angles are exactly as they’ve always been of course, & for many years now seats have been removed from that area to replace others that break.

Initially we weren’t going to put these in as they won’t be sold for football matches, but Home Park stadium is going to be used for a lot more than football matches in the future, so I made the call to put them in.

Also of course, they make the pattern complete :-)

Can you tell us exactly how many seats cannot be sold in the refurbished Grandstand because of the restricted view?

He said won't be sold, not can't be sold. In the very unlikely event of a complete sellout at HP, people will most probably be able to buy those seats with the knowledge that they will not be able to see the Barn Park goal.
There are photos on GoS showing the lack of view, but if you are desperate to see Argyle play an important game then being only able to see 90% of the pitch may be something you'd accept.

Didn't someone share a view from the back row at Anfield and you could only see half the pitch?

Those seats have always had restricted views, I remember them being advertised in the Liverpool replay as such.

Goodison Park sells seats directly behind stanchions.
