He’s well known for his work with Meat Loaf and Bonnie Tyler, but he was behind the soundtrack to my youth, Floodland by The Sisters of Mercy.

RIP Joey Jordison, aged just 46. I was lucky enough to see Slipknot live and the speed of his drumming was incredible, I was even luckier to see him drum for Metallica in a one-off gig. He revolutionised drumming.

That's really sad about Dusty Hill. I know a lot of people will only really know them from their Eliminator / Afterburner and early MTV era (doubt those videos would have been made these days), but their 70s albums were their best. IMHO I thought Eliminator / Afterburner - and the use of synths - pushed them in the wrong direction for their following albums, but their last studio album La Futura was a real return to form.
