They were so bad everyone in the toilet was p***ing on their shoes instead of in the urinal because we were all too busy laughing!
The novelty wore off after a couple of songs but it was cringingly awful and they had the gig cut off early by the clearly furious pub landlord.
The Sisters is one of my favourite bands, or 4 of my favourite bands but let’s not go into that. I would never go to see a tribute band as I can’t see anyone being able to pull it off.
In general, I know what you mean GT. However, there are two tribute bands I have seen who are both stunningly brilliant. The Musical Box (Canadian Genesis tribute band) and of course Australian Pink Floyd. Both bands are closely linked to the real band and certainly The Musical Box have all Genesis early era stage sets, costumes, lights etc. I think Aussie PF have similar access to stage gear too.
These bands are not the pub type tribute band - they play major venues all over the world. Both are due to play Plymouth Pavilions next year if Covid allows
Sorry, my post was badly worded. I meant the I wouldn’t go to see a Sisters tribute band. I’d quite happily go to see APF.
