Pretty poor showing by the so-called batsmen and at least 100 short on runs or 2 too many on wickets. Looking like a draw with bad weather forecast. Why can't our opening batsmen do their job and stay around knocking the shine off the ball and tiring out the bowlers. Out first over is NOT doing the opener's job.

Are you Head of the England Cricket Troll Club? That was a very good first day in a 5 day Test.
Particularly impressive was the batting of young Olly Pope. At least we found that we do not always have to rely on Ben Stokes.
You seem to think that we should have scored 350 for 2 declared by mid afternoon and bowled West Indies out twice before close of play.

Four BATSMEN out cheaply is not a good day.

I refer the gentleman to the score as I type 280-8. Early and late order collapse.

My comment was that 350 for 4 or 250 for 2 would have been a good day. The forecast weather is suggesting that England have not scored fast enough. We shall see. Once again we have thrown away a first test and then are always on the back foot trying to win a series.
