Never mind about Covid 19, Brexit or the US election, here’s something far more important. Mrs Mervyn and I have been playing scrabble at least weekly for 56 years. We have reached the point where the winner is simply the one who draws the most blanks, S’s, and Q, Z, X and J. The solution surely is to ensure a fair distribution of these letters in advance, perhaps with a draw pot per person with an equal distribution of these plus all vowels and consonants. The revolution starts here. Speak to your MP immediately. Let’s get this started. :scarf:
Remember, I before E except when you run a feisty heist on a weird foreign neighbour in Chudleigh.

I love upwords. A sort of three dimensional scrabble.

Very Stanley Unwinesque. Your mention of palaver reminds me of the shortest poem in the world on the subject of necrophilia.

Foreplay? What a palaver
I’d rather, have a cadaver.

That's the good thing about getting older though Mervyn. I find, when I get the chance to play with Mrs Pint, I seem to find blanks more frequently!!

I think that just means you've developed into pretty nifty players over those 56 years. Poor players tend to dread those four highlighted letters because they worry that they can't do much with them, and may even waste a turn to dump them.

My dream has always been to get QUINCUNX over two triple word scores. I've always liked the word, and it's a nontuple shedload of points!
