It was good to see around 11500 Argyle fans at Home Park today. The main stand looked quite full. Question- where will all those people sit if we close the main stand and continue to get 12000 gates? Does anyone know the plan?

I think Brent said that the grandstand will be refurbished (with new seats) between the end of one season and the start of the next season, thereby not requiring any movement by the fanbase.

The Directors Box will be on the floor below where it is now, allowing extra space to be provided in the top tier, either for extra seating or more room for the existing seating.

I'm not sure about the Mayflower seating, as to whether the current seats will be moved forward at the same time or not. Depends when the mayflower terrace gets seating put in, I suppose.

Oh and surely the gap on the Grandstand East is MADE for a scoreboard of some kind...

Those on that side of the ground won't be able to see it!!!!!

You could say that about the position of any scoreboard. Normally there is one at each end so everyone can see.

Just pointing out that it's almost a perfect scoreboard sized gap, and elegantly covers a conspicuous blank wall.

Not sure if it’s be mentioned before but anyone know if the floodlights on the mayflower side are being replaced? The current ones are shocking.

The answer about the floodlights is in the link below.

Question and answer 7 is interesting. It seems to suggest that somewhere in legislation that properly constructed and stewarded standing is unsafe. There is no such claim
Read it again LC:

A7: The PAFC Board has seen no evidence that suggests properly constructed and stewarded standing is anything other than safe. We believe the Green Army would like part of the Stadium to be standing and we will work with the English Football League to continue to push this argument.

I would suggest that this statement is not just support for safe standing to be made legal but a dig at why clubs like Exeter can continue to have open terracing but Argyle can't. JB as much as said so in the recent fans' forum.

Because when went up to the championship we had to put temporary seats in and if you do that for over a certain amount of seasons we can’t change back

I'm fully aware of the legislation. You're not quite right though. When Argyle reached the Championship, their clock started ticking, giving them three years to become a safer all-seated stadium. Putting in temporary seats only happened when the clock ran out because those at the helm at the time failed to use that time correctly. It makes you wonder if they simply expected to be relegated and it wouldn't matter.

But you get to sit in brand new seats, with nice facilities to use. Swings and roundabouts...

It's only those who sit in the Mayflower who are likely to forget the score so Barry has a point.

Many times earlier this season we wanted to forget the score

I've not seen anything on here, but there seems to be a long post on Free Chat regarding the GT's being asked to fund the build of the supporters bar inside the stadium.

Not wishing to use that place as a credible source of information is anyone able to shed light on this.

What is the arrangement? What are they being asked to fund? If true why is it not included in the build cost?

It's not normal practice for a developer to ask the tenant to fund the build of the unit they are renting.
