I don't suppose anyone knows if there was some kind of evergreen component to the sell-on?

I believe that Argyle had a 20% sell on clause with Barnsley which paid out when he moved to Villa.

If Barnsley have a sell on clause with Villa for when he moves on again then Argyle will be entitled to 20% of what Barnsley make from that transfer. I must emphasise, 20% of what Barnsley get, not 20% of any profit Villa are making.

That would still be £40k on £1m so would pay a pretty good chunk of someone's salary (or if you are part of the Brent Out brigade a nice holiday for him and his family  ).

There are rumours of Celtic being interested in Hourihane again.
