Meanwhile, the Pilgrims' boss has confirmed that summer signing Will Aimson will not travel to the club's training camp in Spain later this week.

The former Bury central defender has had a pelvic problem, which has carried over from last season.

However, Aimson has now had an injection which Lowe believes will lead to the 25-year-old getting back to fitness.
Lowe said: "Will won't come to Spain with us. He's going to stay with a specialist.

"When we get back we are hoping to have some minutes in Will against Bristol Rovers (at Home Park on July 27).

"His injection is fine. He's happier and he's smiling more. Will will be right, but it's pointless taking him to Spain when he's going to work another week.

"It will be a grass-based week when we get back from there and then he will be firing on all cylinders."

Makes complete sense. TBF (apart from DM being better than GC10 and Ruben) most things that RL utters do.

There must be a chance of him missing the start of the season. That is a concern as the centre backs from last season were inadequate and one of the main reasons for relegation.

Makes you wonder why we bother with medical assessments if we are signing players who are injured!

Strange that we have signed a player who RL knew had a medical problem. Hope he's worth it because we have had our fair share of injury prone players.

Surprised he's not going as I would imagine the Spanish trip is as much about team bonding than anything else but in Lowe we trust.
