Pubs for away fans

Hello fellow football supporters. Walsall fan here in peace and looking for a recommendation.

Over on our upthesaddlers website we run an awayday tripadvisor preview, which contains a generally inaccurate preview for an away day including bogus pub recommendations (it's a light-hearted prod at our various fan factions).

As well as the dross, though, we also include one recommendation from opposition supporters, being a pub you think is a great place to meet up prior. Can you come up with a venue and why you think it should feature?

Also recommend an absolute hole where we can send our drop kick idiots!

Thanks in advance
Jeef.

The Penneycomequick. It's brilliant for away fans in that it was turned into student flats a few years ago.

If I were a visiting fan, I'd head to the Barbican (various pubs, chip shops etc) and get a taxi to the ground before kick off.

There are some nice pubs around Central Park, but why come all this way and miss out on sea air, fresh seafood, and catch a bit of history.

To drink / eat:

If the sun is out in the late morning, bring your swimming trunks and try Tinside Lido - the food and drink will taste even better following a bit of light exercise in a scenic location: https://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/things- ... o-p1096383

Please take home a good impression of Plymouth!

If I lived in Walsall (no disrespect intended!) and I came to Plymouth on a Bank Holiday weekend (or for the day), assuming it will be a nice day, I would definitely walk up (Armada Way) on to Plymouth Hoe and take in Plymouth Sound, Drakes Island, Breakwater, Tinside Lido and (if really clear) Eddystone light on the horizon. It really is worth seeing and that comes from a born & bred Plymouthian!!
From the Hoe front road you can turn left and walk along the seafront down to the aforementioned Barbican: pubs, eateries and taxis for the ground!
Enjoy!!
