Bert Ranford RIP

Unfortunately I've some very sad news, former Argyle employee Bert Ranford has passed away.
I first met Bert in the early 90s when I joined the Argyle groundstaff. He use to do security work at the ground and he was a familiar face on a matchday, always busy walking around the ground.
He then joined the maintenance team, formerly known as "Dads army". He continued to work at the club until the summer of 2011.
I'm in touch with his wife, Theresa and will share funeral arrangements in due course.

Sad News. Worked with Bert in the 70's at City Cabs. Often saw him at Argyle too. At one time he used to stand in the old Spion Kop corner...but he could clearly see incorrect offside decisions at the Barn Park End !!
