But still an official city. A city isn't just about size of the area and or the population. Its about having city status bestowed upon it. The City of London is for instance our second smallest city in this county but is far from being the second least important if there were such a league table.

A bit like the amalgamation of Plymouth, Devonport and East Storehouse, not to mention Keyham, St. Budeaux, Ernesettle, Honicknowle, Crownhill, Eggbuckland, Effort, Plymstock, Elburton, Plympton, Estover, Whitleigh, Southway and Woolwell

It is a bit like the amalgamation of Plymouth, Devonport and Stonehouse, I suppose. They were three separate towns which were amalgamated into the City of Plymouth. Some of us will remember the Three Towns Dairy which supplied our milk in Stonehouse back in those far off days of glass bottles and cardboard tops.

Interesting spelling of Efford - where we later moved to from Stonehouse. Efford Fort still stood in those days. Is Effort a corruption of those two words Lundan?

Anyway, less than four hours to KO now. COYG!

This tablet has the worst spelling corrector. It's way too fussy.
