Away Travel Warning - M5 J4a to M6

I have but you can't really predict. As is the case with this road even without roadworks, it varies massively depending on day, and time of day.

Best I can say is travelling Southbound midweek was about 30 mins delay in total - just prior to rush hour.

Has anyone gone through these roadworks lately? How long does it take to get through?

I went through here after the Charlton game.

It wasn't too bad that day but you also need to be aware of a 30mph limit through roadworks from around J2 to the WBA junction.

Add some extra time for sure - hard to predict how much time. Minimum 30 minutes?

Living locally I can say quite often on the radio there are messages of delays of up to 30 mins southbound and a hour northbound

I did post earlier about using the a449 junc6 off the m5

I would recommend this for travelling from the south.

A reminder that the m5 junc1 m6 junc8 is one if the busiest junctions on British motorways
It's always busy from a late mornings on a Saturday with lots of football traffic holiday makers and other traffic

So be warned it will be busy

Traveled up today left plymouth at 11am with one stop didn't get up here till 5pm with all the traffic

It took me 15 minutes to get through, no problem. Compared to the Plymouth roadworks it was a doddle.

As others have said no major issues today just a few small queues here and there

We had decided to have a few beers friday night so booked hotel, left at 2 got to hotel 7.30.
Pubs were pretty good last night though real rough n ready lol

Had no issues either. Almost a little slow (30 in some places) the traffic moved nd got through no problem. Out easy too. Home by 20:45

It took the team coach nearly 7 hours yesterday. With the kids going back to school this week hopefully Friday's will get a little easier.
