Charles wasn't that bad from what I saw, but looking at the other options (Purse, Blanchard, Nelson, Trotman, Branston, Zubar, King, Gibson) he seems the 'worst', even though he was quite average.

King and Gibson were actually good players for us, unsung ones.

As for Atkinson, I personally just thought he was rather poor.

I had to delve a bit deeper and find Molsley and Lennox to go in there! Although, to be fair, with Bignot, King, Cowan-Hall and Lennox they weren't that bad, just everybody else was that bit better!

I'll explain my 'worst team' further.

Gilmartin - Fairly self explanatory, my legs would tremble every time the ball went near him.

Blanchard - We've only had 3 consistent 'RB's' in L2, they are Berry, Bignot and Blanchard, Blanchard being the worst of the three.

Soukouna - Not sure many would disagree there.

Charles - Charles was average, but the other CB's we have had are all better than him imo, we've been fairly blessed with CB's in recent years I'd say.

Reckord - Don't get me started, utterly woeful for us.

Paris Cowan Hall - I couldn't stand his attitude for a start, his general play wasn't great, his crossing a joke.

Bencheriff - I was critical from day 1, a slightly better Soukouna in midfield, sure he was big, but if the ball was anywhere below the neck he was useless.

Lowry - He wasn't that bad, just worse than the other options. Constant injury was an issue for him.

Atkinson - many seem to rate him a lot more than I did, just thought he was a generally poor player, bad positioning, bad crossing etc.

Griffiths - A wonderful debut cameo, but otherwise, shocking, what a terrible waste that signing was.

Hitchcock - Doing ok for himself now, but not good for us, a bit cocky, a terrible first touch and shy to shoot.

Berry (bit harsh but who else has played right-back apart from Berry, Blanchard and Bignot in all our time in League 2! Could have put Blanchard in there but he's a very good centre-back so I thought it'd be harsh to put him in my worst XI)
