Curtis does not get enough praise imo. During the clubs demise he was one of the most consistent players. He has remained loyal to Argyle when he probably had the chance to move on. Being awarded the captaincy was a shrewd move by JS, and with Hartley at his side Curtis will learn more. In the interview, he was merely demonstrating the air of positivity and confidence that is around HP at the moment. Sheridon also said the same thing a few weeks ago, I believe. Lets hope we can all be saying it in a few months time.
