You need to do your maths again pl2. £34 per second would mean he's on over a billion a year. He's on a fair whack, but not quite that much.

If he is on £18m per year (source = keepitgreen) then he is on:

£18,000,000/(365x24x3600) per second, which is:

£0.57/second, i.e. 57p per second

Just done some research - so if he drops a fiver whilst outside in a slight breeze, he'll have earned it back by the time he picks it up and stuffs it back into his bulging wallet ...

Still ridiculous!

Think Welbeck will be a good signing, I agree with what Phil Neville said, which is that they can challenge now.
But Chelsea and Man City are still favourites.

Not sure about Bray, will have to see him play first, but seems like the position which needed strengthened.

Nicholas Marin?

Seip and Samba were deadline days too.

Yeah i think we signed Mpenza Marin and Gallagher all on the same day?

Welbeck is an arsenal type forward and it's good all round, even do for England.

I agree that Arsenal has a more 'home' touch for Welbeck than Man Utd. I hope he prospers there from a better service.

Deadline day still going? :wtf:

Aston Villa are awaiting Premier League approval in order to complete the signing of Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley on loan until January.

The deal was struck late on transfer deadline day on Monday and must be sanctioned by the league's board.

According to reports yesterday, Mr Cleverley was demanding 80k a week on a permanent move - wonder what his demands will be when he is an established Premier League player?
