Still would cut it at this level and has proven he can get the ball in the net as well as hold it up. Ok had a few injuries but is surely better than we have now? Short term contract nothing to loose

That would be reason enough.

The circumstances of his departure last time though didn't endear him to me either. Be it he, his agent or Holloway, Wolves miraculously bid the EXACT sum of his release clause and not a penny more. What were the odds of that :think:

No, don't go with that view. The only reason we shouldn't have him back is his lack of games and goals over the last two seasons. What he did when he was here matters not to me. He's a professional football player who wanted to play for a better club and eventually did OK in the prem.

That is surely how release clauses work! If a release clause is in place and is known within football circles, why would any interested party pay more than is required?
