Hourihane got his 5th booking at Chesterfield on the 14th of December last year and missed the Bury game the week after. Have the goalposts changed this year?

As far as i'm aware it's the 30th November this year

5 cards (PL): Dec 31st
5 cards (FL): Nov 30th
10 cards: April 12th
15 cards: End of season.

I presume it changes each year to try and keep the amount of matches played by the cut off the same each year.

It has only changed this year. It was decided that because the number of FL games played before the turn of the year compared to the Prem is greater, they would move the date for a 5 card suspension for FL players.
